Our Governing Board

Our board work together to “Think and Plan” for our Centre. They do this by working in close partnership with our day-to-day Management Team; the management team then “Reflect and Act” on behalf of the board.

We do this by supporting each other as we work on the following topics each year:

  • Strategic and Annual Planning

  • Policy Development

  • Legal Responsibilities

  • Financial Planning

  • Human Resource Management

  • Future Direction

Strategic Goals for the 2023 - 2024 year:

  • Whanaungatanga

    Relationships with High Expectations:

  • Continue to enhance our community partnership.

  • Te Whakaruruhau

Stewardship through Effective Governance and Management:

  • Governance Equity Objective - to support training and implementation of bicultural awareness into our governance processes.

  • Team Building as a New Board - team culture and communication.

  • AKO

Striving for Excellence in our Teaching Practice and Beyond:

  • Team building as a new team - team culture and communication.

It takes a large group of people to effectively operate a community-based early childhood service. It is therefore important that we not only have a team of great staff, but that members of our community join our Board also.
